Elektro The Smoking Robot

Hey everybody.

It's Elektro.

This robot was real.
It was built by Westinghouse and seen by 3.7 million
at the 1939 World Fair.
It could follow twelve commands and was plugged as being the ultimate domestic
robot.
It used a 78-rpm record player to talk.
Elektro also had a vocabulary of seven-hundred words.

Hmm and obviously Elektro thought smoking was the coolest.

i wonder, did it come with a selection of records to play, to determine its 'mood'?

It's pretty oddball in the robot footage, he is cracking onto the ladies in the crowd!
